How the score is calculated

Each question is scored 1–5. The 15 questions are distributed evenly across 5 dimensions (3 questions per dimension), so each dimension has a maximum score of 15 and the overall score is out of 75. The bands are calibrated against engagement experience with Australian organisations across financial services, government, healthcare, mining, professional services and retail.

  • Foundation stage (0–30) — fundamental capability needs to be established before AI investment will compound. The Foundation work is high-leverage; typically 90 days of focused effort moves an organisation out of this band.
  • Building stage (31–55) — the fundamentals are in place; depth in specific dimensions is what’s missing. Targeted work on those dimensions moves the organisation to production-ready inside 6 months.
  • Production-ready (56–75) — most dimensions are mature; the remaining work is identifying the specific use cases worth pursuing and shipping them well.

What the report contains

The personalised report (emailed after you complete the assessment) includes your overall band, your per-dimension scoring, and three prioritised next steps. The next steps are derived from your three lowest-scoring dimensions — the work that will most move the needle on your overall readiness.

The report is genuinely useful whether or not you ever engage us. We send it because we want to be the first AI consultancy you think of when you’re ready to act — not because we’ll spam you afterwards. No nurture sequence. Your email is used to send the report and any future updates to the assessment itself (which we revise as the AI landscape shifts).
