Both. Our IT engagements typically combine architecture and direct build work — we don't hand specs to a separate team. That said, for larger projects we partner with established AU dev shops where additional capacity is needed; we name the partnership in the engagement scope upfront.
Yes, where the case is strong — but our default recommendation is to make the existing stack work better before recommending a rewrite. Most "we need to rewrite" situations turn out to be "we need to fix three specific bottlenecks." We'll tell you honestly which kind of situation you're in.
Web-first by default. Native mobile builds we partner out to established AU mobile shops; we lead the architecture and integration. React Native + Expo for cross-platform work where appropriate, in-house.
For most mid-market clients, managed platforms (Vercel, Netlify, Cloudflare) cost less in engineering time than they cost in platform fees. We default-recommend them. Where data residency, custom infrastructure, or unusual scale make managed unsuitable, we run on AWS or equivalent. The decision is always based on your specific constraints, not a default vendor preference.
